Our guidelines for what content is allowed and what is prohibited on Desi Notice Board.

Ride-sharing (legal services only), carpooling, moving assistance, travel planning, visa consultation, authorized driving instruction.
Buy/Sell/Trade (Legal Items Only)
Used furniture, electronics, books, vehicles, household items, clothing. All items must be legally owned and legally sellable.
Announcements & Community News
Lost and found, community alerts, neighborhood news, public service announcements, local business openings, charity drives.
4. Strictly Prohibited Content
The following types of content are completely banned from Desi Notice Board. Posting any of these will result in immediate removal and may lead to account suspension or permanent ban:
Zero Tolerance: We have absolutely zero tolerance for illegal content. Any illegal content will be removed immediately and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.
Drugs, Alcohol, and Controlled Substances
Absolutely NO content related to illegal drugs, prescription medication without authorization, drug paraphernalia, underage alcohol sales, tobacco to minors, or any controlled substances. This includes coded language or indirect references to drugs.
Adult, Sexual, and Pornographic Content
Absolutely NO pornography, sexually explicit content, nudity, escort services, adult massage services, dating services with sexual intent, sex toys, or any content sexual in nature. This platform is for general audiences of all ages.
Illegal Activities and Criminal Content
Absolutely NO content promoting, facilitating, or glorifying illegal activities. This includes theft, fraud, hacking, money laundering, counterfeit goods, stolen property, or any criminal activity.
Weapons, Violence, and Dangerous Items
Absolutely NO content related to firearms, weapons, ammunition, explosives, or any items designed to cause harm. No violent content, threats, or promotion of violence in any form.
Hate Speech, Harassment, and Discrimination
Absolutely NO content that attacks, harasses, or discriminates against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any protected characteristic. No bullying, threats, or intimidation.
Human Exploitation and Trafficking
Absolutely NO content related to human trafficking, forced labor, child exploitation, or any form of modern slavery. Such content will be immediately reported to authorities.
Gambling and Unregulated Financial Schemes
Absolutely NO content promoting illegal gambling, pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, multi-level marketing scams, get-rich-quick schemes, or unregistered investment opportunities.
Personal Information and Privacy Violations
Absolutely NO posting of other people's personal information (phone numbers, addresses, emails) without their explicit consent. No doxxing, stalking, or invasion of privacy.
Malware, Phishing, and Scams
Absolutely NO content containing malware, viruses, phishing links, scam attempts, or any content designed to harm users' devices or steal their information.
Copyright Infringement and Counterfeit Goods
Absolutely NO sale of counterfeit products, pirated software, unauthorized copies of copyrighted material, or any goods that infringe on intellectual property rights.
Medical Advice and Unproven Treatments
Absolutely NO unverified medical claims, fake cures, unproven treatments, or content that could endanger someone's health. Licensed health professionals may offer services but must not make false claims.
Animal Cruelty and Illegal Animal Trade
Absolutely NO content depicting or promoting animal cruelty, illegal breeding operations, endangered species trade, or animal fighting.
5. Quality Standards for Allowed Content
Even for content in allowed categories, we expect users to maintain quality standards:
- Accurate Information: Your notice must accurately describe the service, product, or event being offered. Do not mislead or deceive users.
- Clear Communication: Use proper language. Avoid excessive use of ALL CAPS, excessive emojis, or spammy formatting.
- Appropriate Images: Images must be relevant to the notice. No misleading, inappropriate, or low-quality images.
- Genuine Offers: Only post real, legitimate offers. Do not post fake listings or bait-and-switch content.
- One Notice Per Service: Do not post duplicate notices for the same service. One clear notice is sufficient.
- Contact Information: You may include your own contact information, but never include others' personal details without consent.
6. Enforcement and Consequences
6.1 Content Review
We actively monitor content posted on Desi Notice Board. We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any content at our sole discretion, with or without notice, especially if it violates this Content Policy.
6.2 Consequences for Violations
Violations of this Content Policy may result in:
- First Violation: Content removal and a warning notification
- Second Violation: Content removal and temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
- Serious or Repeated Violations: Permanent account ban and blocking of access to the platform
- Illegal Content: Immediate permanent ban and possible reporting to law enforcement authorities
6.3 Reporting Violations
We encourage our community members to help us maintain a safe platform. If you see content that violates this policy, please report it immediately:
